Scaling Back on Labor Saving Devices

  • Dec. 12th, 2007 at 2:09 PM
What's wrong with a little physical exertion if you're healthy?

Remember this post? Well, look who was shoveling her driveway and STREET yesterday while her grandson rode around on his riding mower-cum-snowplow clearing his own sidewalks.

She's 94 years old. Have I mentioned this before?

She may prefer doing this work herself, so I am not passing judgment on the son or grandson (her neighbors) for not helping her.

I'm just shaking my head: While we don't know for certain how she is still able to engage in vigorous chores at 94 years of age, I DO know that she didn't get there by riding around on labor saving machinery when she was 18 years old.
