No need to buy window shades or blinds to protect little eyes from the sun's glare while riding in the car. Children--even infants--can wear a visor or sunhat.
As soon as my girlfriend clued me into this idea, I ditched the suction cupped roller blind FAST. That thing was more trouble than it was worth!

The visors work fine to shade their eyes, but the sun is so strong coming through window glass that sunburn is a big issue. If you don't have tinted glass that blocks harmful rays, then a shade of some sort is a good idea.
